Make MP3s is built by one person who genuinely loves music. The goal is simple: help you keep the music you love, the way you want it. We've kept these terms as straightforward as possible. We don't track what you download, we don't sell your data, and we're not here to cause problems for anyone. The details below exist to protect both of us. Thanks for taking a second to read them.
By downloading, installing, or using Make MP3s ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Software. Make MP3s is operated by Prodwest, a sole proprietorship registered in Ontario, Canada ("we," "us," or "our").
Make MP3s is a desktop application that reads playlist metadata from third-party music platforms (such as Spotify and Apple Music) via their official APIs, and downloads corresponding audio from YouTube using yt-dlp, an open-source tool. Make MP3s does not host, stream, store, or distribute any copyrighted audio content. All downloads are initiated solely by the user.
By using Make MP3s, you represent and agree that:

Make MP3s integrates with third-party services including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and Google Analytics. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these platforms.
Audio is downloaded via yt-dlp, an independent open-source project. We are not responsible for the functionality, availability, or legal standing of yt-dlp or YouTube.
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. By purchasing a subscription or lifetime license, you agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms of service. All prices are listed in USD.
Prodwest reserves the right to modify pricing at any time. Existing monthly subscribers will be honoured at their original rate.
Refunds are considered for verified technical issues reported within 48 hours of purchase. All refund requests must be submitted to makemp3smusic+refund@gmail.com. Please refer to our Refund Policy page for full details.
Make MP3s offers a one-time free trial per device. Trial eligibility is determined by a machine identifier stored locally and on our servers solely for this purpose. Machine identifiers are purged annually, at which point trial eligibility resets. We do not use machine identifiers for any other purpose.
Make MP3s, its design, branding, and underlying code are the intellectual property of Prodwest. You may not reverse engineer, redistribute, resell, or modify the Software without explicit written permission.
The Software is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with all systems, or that the Software will remain functional as third-party platforms update their services. Use the Software at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Prodwest shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or statutory damages arising from your use of the Software, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of income, or legal claims arising from your use of downloaded content. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Make MP3s respects intellectual property rights. If you believe content accessible through our Software infringes your copyright, please contact us at makemp3smusic@gmail.com. We will respond to valid DMCA notices in accordance with applicable law.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Make MP3s at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you are violating these Terms or applicable law. Upon termination, your license to use the Software is revoked.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Software after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Prodwest ("we," "us," "our") collects when you use Make MP3s, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. We are committed to handling your data minimally and responsibly.
Make MP3s is intended for users in Canada, the United States, and other regions outside the European Union. If you are an EU resident, please be aware that this service is not specifically designed to comply with GDPR requirements.
When you create an account, we collect your email address. Your email serves as your account identifier across Firebase Authentication and our database.
To administer our free trial, the Software generates and stores a machine identifier on your device and on our servers. This identifier is used solely to determine trial eligibility. It is purged from our servers annually. We do not use it to identify you personally or track your behaviour.
We store information about whether you are logged in, whether your account is in trial, free, or premium status, and subscription activity (active, cancelled, etc.). This is necessary to deliver the service.
Our website (makemp3s.com) uses Google Analytics and Vercel analytics to understand how visitors find and navigate the site, and to measure aggregate conversion and subscription metrics. This may include standard analytics data such as pages visited, referral source, browser type, and general geographic region. This data is aggregate and not linked to your Make MP3s account.
